Using the Inspiration Maps program to condense ideas from whole class discussion recapping students ideas about Australia’s connection to the Asian region.
If students are struggling to come up with an idea, or may need additional support with technology a Prezi presentation or a Podcast would be an appropriate tool for them to use throughout the task. The Prezi could be transformed into an animation video, with the support of a teacher if needed, at the completion of the task. This will allow students to feel they are still achieving success in making a video or voice presentation.
Assessment Opportunity:
This lesson is the initial lesson for students to begin accumulating their learning and knowledge from this unit into a technology representation.

- Now consider how technology can aid these connections and relationships.
- Using web 2.0 software used throughout this unit to create a presentation or example of how technology aids Australia’s connection with countries within the Asian region?
- Students have the choice of tool they use, and ideas that they share with the piece. Students will need to create a plan that can be created on Inspiration Map for an easy upload to Edmodo with their completed piece.
- By allowing a period of planning time students will have more of an idea of what they may wish to create and what they would include. This would result in a greater discussion in this rubric planning.
- Teacher can prompt expectations also to ensure that their needs for student outcomes are being met.
